Angelo Ranaldo is a senior economist at the Swiss National Bank. As a member of the senior staff and of the research unit, he is in charge for the financial markets analysis and support to monetary policy assessment and decisions. Angelo's undergraduate studies in economics were conducted at the University Bocconi (Italy). He obtained his doctorate at the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). Angelo was a visiting scholar at the New York University, Stern School of Business, for one year. In 2005, he worked as a visiting professor at the Aarhus School of Business (Denmark).
Angelo Ranaldo is a lecturer at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. He teaches a course on Market Microstructure in the Master Program. He also teaches some courses for practioneers. His research interest includes several fields in finance and economics, in particular market microstructure, portfolio theory and management, empirical finance, monetary policy and macroeconomics. He has published in several (refereed) international journals in finance.
